Quick Weekend Crocheting

These are some quick fingerless mitts I made from Carons Simply Soft for my stepdaughter to go with her Fun Fur Purse. They are so quick and easy-the next ones she wants black with fun fur.

My Funky Little Black Purse

This is the first purse I ever designed myself. I call it My Funky Little Black Purse and I used Homespun yarn and 1 strand of an eyelash fur I picked up at my local Big Lots (it's going out of business and I got it for 80 cents). I used an I hook for nice tight stitching because I hate to sew linings. The button is for decoration only-I sewed a snap on the inside. I crocheted 2 side loops and made a chain from one side loop to the other and then slip stitched back over to make a nice thickness-I did used 2 strands of the Homespun for the strap. Homespun is not my favorite yarn to crochet with but I had this leftover from my dog's sweater I made her. I really like this!

This is my husband modeling his Anarchy Irony Hat-the pattern is from Debbie Stoller's Happy Hooker book. He has never asked for anything crocheted-he doesn't like anything homemade looking and would only wear this if I made it "professional" looking. Guess I passed.

This is a Christmas present for my 13 yr old stepdaugher. It is made with the big size Q hook with bulky Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick n Quick in Denim and 2 strands of Fun Fur in blue. It has a blue heart button with a crocheted loop and 2 snaps sewn in for closing. Very easy and fast to make.

Skateboarder Hats

My son has of course already lost the winter hat and 2 pair of gloves I bought him so I made these 2 skateboarder style hats for him last night. Since we got a lot of snowfall on Dec 1 and the temp has since dropped to about 9 degrees he really needed these-of course it helps he likes them and thinks they're cool.

2nd Purse

This is the 2nd purse I've made recently. I don't like this one as well-I don't think I did a really great job on this. Its made with Homespun yarn and lined with black. It looks better being held by the handles but I didn't have a model when I took the pics.

Newborn Bico

This is the second Baby It's Cold Outside sweater. It is a newborn size this time made with some navy Bernat and SWS yarn.
